Agents are used to marketing themselves by saying we sold a certain number of homes last year, but that won’t get you any business. What you need is a story.
I highly recommend that you check out “Building a Story Brand” by Donald Miller. It says we’ve used a common story structure for thousands of years. It starts with a character, and that character has a problem. Finally, a guide is introduced who helps them solve that problem. You can use this formula to market yourself better.
Let’s see how you might use a story to market yourself. Say you had a typical client named Jon. He couldn’t find a home because every offer he put in had been rejected. Then, you got Jon qualified with a cash lender so he could make an offer without contingencies. Now, Jon has a home.
