Here’s how our new agent, Julissa Garcia, got her start in real estate.

Today we’re hearing from one of our newer agents, Julissa Garcia. She started working in real estate back in March, but it didn’t take long for her to find success; she’s had nine transactions in just six months. We wanted her to share the story of why she got into real estate and how she became successful.

Before she worked in real estate, Julissa was an on-site supervisor for a staffing company, which meant she oversaw a huge part of the workforce and had to wear a lot of hats. She decided to get into real estate when she had her firstborn, Oliver. She felt that she had to do something more to give him the best life she possibly could. 

She did a lot of research about building generational wealth and found that the common denominator was real estate. It was scary to jump from her secure paycheck to a job that pays purely on commission, especially as a single parent. 

She had to juggle being a new mom, starting a new career, and some family health issues all in the middle of a pandemic. Her mom helped her out a lot when she first started. 

“As long as you have the passion and drive, you will be successful.”

Brooks and the i-Lead teams provided so many resources and different ways to get leads. She went full time in March, and she’ll be closing her ninth transaction next month; that’s nine transactions in six months! It’s been crazy, but she feels so blessed to have this opportunity.

Other people on the team have been successful as well. She likes being able to rely on each other and draws motivation from everyone’s stories.

When you first start, you’ll have to put in a lot of work, but as long as you have the passion and drive, you will be successful. Julissa is so glad that she got into real estate. It’s completely changed how she looks at life.
